Mission Statement

Picture
Friends of Mission Bay Marshes is a community-based association of concerned citizens established for the purpose of restoring and preserving the indigenous marshes of Mission Bay in San Diego, California and to promote public awareness of, education about, and involvement with those marshes and their flora, fauna, and ecology.

We invite you to join us in supporting our mission, to meet like-minded community members, and to learn about and enjoy the native plants and animals of coastal San Diego, California.

The Friends of Mission Bay Marshes is a new organization, founded on February 12, 2010. We are currently drafting a master plan that encompasses our vision of the future of the marshes, the role they play within the community, and the model that may be provided from their restoration. Our website is new and under development, and we invite you to check back frequently for updates and additions.
